Cookie Policy
Media Present GmbH uses various cookies on its websites. Cookies are small files with configuration information that are stored on your device. Cookies can generally be divided into three categories.
Functional cookies are essential for the functionality of the website. The processing of functional cookies is necessary to enable your visit to the website (see Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).
Comfort cookies increase the convenience of a website visit, for example by saving your language settings. The legal basis for comfort cookies is a legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). The legitimate interest lies in providing a certain level of convenience during your visits to the website. You can object to this data processing at any time with effect for the future. For more information, please refer to the privacy policy.
Tracking cookies are used to create a pseudonymized usage profile. Tracking cookies are only set if the website visitor has given consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). Consent is given via the so-called cookie banner, which must be actively clicked.
Further information on the tracking tools used and how to revoke your consent can be found in the privacy policy.
Within the categories described, different types of cookies are used. Below are the most common types of cookies explained for your understanding:
1. Session Cookies
While you are active on a website, a session cookie is temporarily stored in your computer’s memory, which saves a session ID to prevent, for example, you having to log in again on each page change. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or become invalid as soon as your session automatically expires.
2. Permanent or Log Cookies
A permanent or log cookie stores a file on your computer for the period defined by the expiration date. These cookies allow websites to remember your information and settings for your next visit. This leads to quicker and more convenient access, as you don’t have to set your language preference for our portal again, for example. When the expiration date is reached, the cookie is automatically deleted when you visit the website that created it.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Third-party cookies originate from providers other than the website operator. They can be used, for example, to collect information for advertising, customized content, and web statistics.
4. Flash Cookies
Flash cookies are data elements stored by websites on your computer when they are operated with Adobe Flash. Flash cookies do not have an expiration limit.
